MANSFIELD REFORMATORY MANSFIELD, OH
This place is alot of fun to investigate. At times it can be overwhelming due to the shear size of it. If you investigate here bring lots of cable for you cameras or lots of batteries. You'll be able to use all your equipment.
During our investigation we found hot spots literally everywhere. The warden's quarters, the "Sweat Box", and chapel produced the most interaction. That doesn't mean that the rest of the prison wasn't active, it just means that for most of us we seemed to find the most compelling evidence in the above mentioned areas. In order to do ths place justice, you have to investigate it more than once. One night is not enough time to do it all and do it properly. Sweat box area These are EVP's caught in an area called the "Sweat Box". This area is near one of the boilers in the basement. Inmates were put in a metal box near the boiler where temperatures would often exceed 120*! Some where there for a day, some were there for extended periods of time, and others never made it out alive. While we were conducting our EVP session we made contact with a spirit called "Tiny".

prison museum
This area houses the old electric chair and other memorabilia from the prisons past. Among the items displayed are what are considered "prison art". These are items the prisoners made to pass the time. There were items like rings made from plastic toothbrushes to other detailed carvings. The "Bisby or Bisbee" name came through after I read aloud name of people executed in the electric chair. Although I did not see his name on the list, you can clearly hear him saying it. The second EVP is harder to hear, but I thought it worthy of posting.
