The strand theater
Not many paranormal groups get the opportunity to investigate at the Strand Theater. The "spirits" there apparently get a little "upity" when disturbed, so we had to be extra courteous. We were asked by the manager not to provoke the spirits, because they tend to get unruly once we leave. We respected her wishes.
The Strand is currently under going renovation and we saw this as a good time to capitalize on what most people in the paranormal community would say is the most active/ best time to investigate a haunted building.
The Strand supposedly has a few resident spirits. One is a former employee named "Rodney". He died in a house fire in Delaware in the late '80's, but likes to mess with equipment and people behind the scenes. Another is said to be a female spirit/ former owner named "Cindy" . She is said to be nearby when when one can smell her perfume. Still another is that of a "mean" spirit that appears as a black mass.
During our investigation we experienced numerous EVP's and light anomalies/ orbs. While we didn't see an apparitions, we did experience numerous situations where we heard what sounded like entire conversations at volume levels barely heard by our DVR's. We believe that those "conversations" were residual.. As far as intelligent haunting... we received numerous first names. During one of our breaks we stepped outside and noticed that the bricks inlaid in the sidewalk just outside the door corresponded with a lot of the first names our team was receiving during our EVP sessions.
We had almost total access to the entire building and at no point did we feel anything malevolent. While it was evident that they didn't like being disturbed, no one seems to be any worse for wear. Does the building have paranormal activity? In my opinion, yes. Would I be afraid to see a movie there? No, especially if Rodney wants to stop by.

upper theater session 1
Yes all these EVP's listed here were from a spirit box session conducted in the upper theater lasting a little over an hour. The spirit box we used in this session is the SP7 with externally amplified speaker. (hence the beep beep sound heard in the background) One of the spirits they encountered was a real potty mouth. If you're offended by curse words I suggest you bypass the EVP's that show those words in the titles. We can't control what spirits say, we can only record them and listen in. Some of the EVP's captured here could not be heard at the time of the recording, while others could be.
Some of the EVP's listed here are believed to be residual. The words are clear, but aren't relative to the questions asked at the time or came randomly. I have included them anyway, since past investigations have taught us that we often don't understand why they are being said until later, or someone else may understand their relevance. Never the less, many of the EVP's are intelligent responses to the questions being asked.

Paramendel members do run. We may exit with caution, but never run.
Here the spirits are having fun with them again. Sean says he hears something behind him and the spirit answers with, "Me too". Then you here the word "dick" followed by a female saying, "Behind you". Followed by the word "dick" again. It seems clear that the spirits really like Sean.
In this exchange with both a male and female spirits they seem to be joking back and forth about their dealings with our team members Jason and Sean. It shows that the spirits do indeed have a sense of humor.
Since this EVP wasn't connected to any direct question and was captured at random, we believe it could be residual from the vaudeville days early in the theaters history.
In the EVP below our walkies have an alert feature on them that has to be hand activated. None of our team members activated it. So they ask the spirit if they did it and get a denial in the form of a "what?"
In Sean's usual sarcastic way he asks the spirit in a condescending manner if "he" is messing with our radios.
One of the spirits that Sean and Jason came across was a real potty mouth.

Sean trying to play "let's make a deal" with the spirits and shee doesn't want to play.
This one might be residual since it wasn't in response to any question.
The EVP below was in fact caught around midnight.
One of the spirits that came through was named Kevin. In this EVP a female spirit addresses him by name twice, he answers, and she asks if its going to be any longer. I'm guessing she is commenting on the length of our session.
One of the female spirits that communicated with them was named Phyllis. When they asked if she was still there she responded with a sense of humor.
We are pretty sure we are dealing with an old employee here since they seem to be held back from cleaning up and want us to leave so that they can start their housekeeping duties.
In the EVP below you will hear almost a minute of verbal exchange between Sean, Jason and the spirit. He has some choice words for Sean after they comment on how narrow the seats are. I'll let you all judge what's being said.
the EVP below is the continuing conversation with Sean just after the above EVP. You can see how quickly the mood goes back to being semi-normal.
